Contributed to the Disney Imagineering prototype for VR/stereoscopic rollercoaster experiences (like Avatar: Flight of Passage), managing project planning, level/technical design, and content creation (3D art, level art, lighting, effects) in CryEngine 3, involving continuous testing on target hardware. The final version of the ride is of course, much more advanced than the prototype and the prototype was not directly the final ride at the time.
Avatar Flight of Passage is a thrilling 3D flying simulator attraction located in Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Set within the Avatar universe, the ride allows guests to link to an "avatar" and experience flying on the back of a banshee across the breathtaking landscapes of Pandora. The attraction is highly immersive, utilizing 3D visuals in high resolution, motion simulator technology that mimics the movement and even the breathing of a banshee, and environmental effects like wind and scents to create a truly believable experience of flight. It's often praised for its stunning visuals and the unique sensation of soaring through the alien world.
• Worked closely with Disney on the prototype for what is now the Avatar: Flight of Passage ride & many other rides in Disney theme parks that feature VR/Stereographic displays in a rollercoaster type setting
• Worked on site at Disney Imagineering with project planning, level design, technical design, 3D assets, level art, lighting & effects for prototype in CryEngine 3,
• Constant iterations & trial runs on actual hardware of the virtual rollercoaster
