Oversaw the creation of large-scale levels for the Auto Assault MMORPG, from initial concept to final implementation, incorporating detailed scripting for a proprietary engine and coordinating with leads, artists, QA, and producers.

Auto Assault was a vehicular combat-focused MMORPG set in a post-apocalyptic world. Developed by NetDevil and published by NCSoft, the game featured three playable factions—Humans, Mutants, and Biomeks—each with unique vehicles and playstyles. Players explored a devastated world, completing missions and engaging in combat to gain power and resources. The game emphasized vehicle customization and action-oriented gameplay.

Level Design Specifics

I worked on many levels for Auto Assault. Out of my entire career, I made the most levels for this game as it was an MMORPG and required a lot of work with a very small team. There was certainly a lot of collaborative work and working on areas together. Unfortunately there is barely any videos online of the project.

This video shows a player playing one of the scripted missions i did on the ‘highway’ levels. In this mission, players had to destroy the target before he reached the human base where he would nuke himself and any players in the base (so any time players triggered the mission it was dangerous for any players in the area). We received a lot of praise for this mission just because of the fun factor of dying from this guy if you weren't paying attention - the death penalty in auto assault was very minimal.

This video shows another of the major ‘highway’ levels we made in auto assault. These levels were massive and very limited in tech. There was a lot of LDs who touched these maps but towards the end of production i was in charge of all of the ‘human’ faction levels.
